Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing cost by arranging the input shaft at low position while the clutch shaft at high position and advance and back gears on the clutch shaft to be able to couple selectively with the clutch shaft. CONSTITUTION:The input shaft 15 is arranged at low position such that the rear endface will face against the front endface of low level output shaft 16 while the clutch shaft 17 is arranged at the highest level in a reversing case 14 and an advance gear 28 and a back gear 29 to be driven through the input shaft 15 are arranged on the clutch shaft 17 to be coupled selectively with the clutch shaft 17 through clutch means. Consequently, the input shaft 15, the clutch shaft 17 and the intermediate shaft 18 can be arranged completely in parallel while flat gears can be employed in the gear train to be arranged between said shaft 15, 17, 18, resulting in considerable reduction of manufacturing cost.
