Abstract:

To provide a revetment structure and a method for constructing the revetment structure by which a habitat of aquatic organisms is secured.

The revetment structure includes a block mat comprising a flexible base material sheet and a plurality of concrete blocks which are integrated together. Cutouts are formed in some of the concrete blocks. The cutouts serve as planting holes penetrating in the direction of the thickness of the concrete blocks. Aquatic plants are planted in the planting holes.
