Abstract:

PURPOSE: To construct a revetment on soft ground by a method in which a vertical slit is formed in a steel sheet pile row facing the water side, the heads of the steel sheet piles are connected, wave-breaking blocks are packed between the steel sheet pile row, and the heads of the steel sheet pile row are fixed with a top slab.

CONSTITUTION: Steel sheet piles are driven in a row into the base ground to form the bank side outer wall 13, and long steel sheet piles 14 are driven at a given interval from the outer wall 13. Short steel sheet piles 15 are driven between the long steel sheet piles 14 to form slits 14a between the long steel sheet piles. The heads of the bank side outer wall 13 and the long steel sheet piles 14 are connected with tie rods 3, and wave-breaking blocks 16 are charged into the space between the sheet pile rows. The heads of the steel sheet pile rows are fixed with a concrete top slab 5, and filling soil and sand 7 is packed.
