Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the high revolution following performance in the detection for revolution position by memorizing the increase/decrease of the time interval between the prescribed pulses in a pulse train generated according to the revolution of a rotary body as a increase/decrease pattern and comparing said pattern with a prescribed increase/decrease pattern. CONSTITUTION:Seven projections 2a and projection cut parts 2b are formed at equal intervals in 45 deg. in the peripheral direction onto the outer peripheral surface of the crankshaft 2 of an internal combustion engine 1, and a pulse train generated from a crank angle position sensor 3 according to the revolution is taken into an ECU 5 through a wave-form shaping circuit 4, and the time interval between the prescribed pulses is measured, and the increase/decrease is obtained from the difference of the time interval in the preceding time and memorized as increase/decrease pattern. The memorized increase/decrease pattern is compared with the memorized prescribed increase/decrease pattern, and the revolution position of the crankshaft 2 is detected, and the anomaly of the result of the detection of the sensor 3 is judged. In the timing calculated from a variety of signals of the sensor 6 on the basis of the detection position, an ignitor 8 and a fuel injection valve 9 are driven. Thus, the control precision can be improved.
