PURPOSE: To easily rewind rolled carpets by a method in which paired rotary rollers are set, paired rollers are set in parallel outside of both sides of the rotary rollers, and many recessions are formed on the peripheries of two pairs of the rollers.

CONSTITUTION: Support plates 12 and 14 are connected in parallel by a rod 16, and the first paired rotary rollers 20 and 22 are set between the plates 12 and 14. Also, the second paired rollers 18 and 24 are set rotatably in parallel on the high place of the outside of both sides of the rollers 20 and 22, and many recessions 26 are formed on the peripheral sides of the rollers 18, 20, 20, and 22. The outside surface of a carpet roll in contact with the rollers is put into the recessions 26. When rewinding the carpet roll by the coupling action, the rollers 18, 20, 22, and 24 are positively turned in connection with the rotation. The carpet can thus be smoothly rewound by small forces to lessen the number of labors.
