PURPOSE: To make a web windable whichever winding direction with one unit alone, by operating a cutter and a paster roller with individual cylinders and making the cutter a double-edge one.

CONSTITUTION: In the case where a web 1 is wound up ounterclockwise, a paster arm 13 is made into horizontality by an air cylinder 5 and, after detecting it by a limit switch, and a winding spool 4 is rotated in the same speed with a forward speed of the web 1, then air cylinders 7 and 8 are operated at the same time, and a cutter lever 16 and a paster roller lever 14 are simultaneously turned round whereby a paster roller 15 is pressed to the winding spool 4, making the web 1 come into contact with the winding spool 4, while the web 1 is cut off by a cutter 22 and the web 1 is rolled on the winding spool 4. Next, when the web is wound up clockwise, each of air cylinders 5, 7 and 8 are operated, pressing the paster roller 15 to the winding spool 4, and the web 1 is cut off with a blade at the opposite side of the cutter 22, whereby the web 1 is rolled on the winding spool 4. Thus, the web is windable on the winding spool whichever direction.
