Abstract:
A rework press assembly (104) for reworking a dimensionally non-conformant component (106) is provided. The rework press assembly (104) includes a frame (204), a die (200) coupled to the frame (204) and configured to contact a first portion (210) of the component (106), and a ram (202). The ram (202) is coupled to the frame (204) opposite the die (200) with respect to an axis of the rework press assembly (104) and is configured to contact a second portion (216) of the component (106). The ram (202) and the die (200) define a component cavity (208) therebetween. At least one of the die (200) and the ram (202) has a first length, relative to the axis, in response to the rework press assembly (104) being at a first thermal condition. The at least one of the die (200) and the ram (202) has a second length, relative to the axis, in response to the rework press assembly (104) being at a second thermal condition, and the second length is greater than the first length.
