Abstract:
PURPOSE: To erase recording by providing a means generating a predetermined background pattern on a recording medium and erasing recording after the recording of the background pattern.
CONSTITUTION: A background pattern generating means 7 is connected to a recording control means 2 by a switch 6 and a heating means 3 is controlled on the basis of a background pattern by the recording control means 2 and a recording medium 4 is sent by a roller 5 to record the background pattern on the entire surface of the recording medium 4. Then, an printed character or mark is made hard to discriminate by the background pattern. Next, the whole of the recording medium 4 is heated to a predetermined low temp. range (the state transition temp. range of a thermal material) by the heating means 3 to erase the recorded character or mark along with the background pattern. Since the background pattern thinly remains even when recording thinly remains, recording becomes hard to discriminate.
