PURPOSE: To evaluate an RF coil single material by using not only an absolute value of a pickup coil signal but also a phase, in the method for evaluating an image homogeneous degree by measuring a magnetic field distribution in a load phantom, of the RF coil having the load phantom.
CONSTITUTION: In the inside of a cylindrical GC bobbin 1 having a conductive mesh on a side wall, a cylindrical RF coil 2 is installed, and in the inside of this RF coil 2, a load phantom 3 is placed. In such a state, by a gain analyzer 21, an RF current is supplied to the RF coil 2, a receiving signal from a pickup coil 12 is amplified, and gain of the receiving signal is displayed. To the tip of a pickup coil supporting bar 13 to which the pickup coil 12 is fixed, a disk 16 for memorizing an angle is fixed, so that an angle of the pickup coil 12 can be read through an angle 17 which is hung downward. In such a state, by rotating the supporting bar 13, and using an absolute value and a phase of a signal measured in plural rotational positions, the RF coil is evaluated.
