To provide an RFID animal ear tag having little possibility of wearing off of printing, and manufactured using a general purpose apparatus without failing correlation between identification numbers of the ear tag and an IC chip, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.
The RFID animal ear tag includes: a male shaft capable of passing through an animal ear; a female shaft to which the male shaft is fitted; a tag part formed on at least one of the male shaft and the female shaft; an RFID tag having a side opposite to a surface printed with a prescribed character or chart and stuck to the tag part, and having the IC chip composed of a memory storing an identification number corresponding to the prescribed character or chart, and having an area smaller than the area of the tag part; and a transparent or translucent protective film for protecting the printed surface of the RFID tag.
