Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RH diffusion source for use in RH supply diffusion treatment which can reduce the density and make the thickness uniform and thin, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor, and a production method of an R-T-B-based sintered magnet in which RH supply diffusion treatment is carried out by using the RH diffusion source.SOLUTION: An RH diffusion source is used for a method for diffusing a heavy rare earth element RH into an R-T-B-based sintered magnet material (R is at least one kind of rare earth element and always containing Nd, T is at least one kind of transition metal element and always containing Fe), composed of Dy, and has a density of 5-7 g/cm.
