Abstract:
To provide a reduction method facilitating reduction treatment and having high recovery rate of a metallic rhodium.
A rhodium reduction method is characterized in that rhodium black is generated by adding hydrazine into rhodium nitrite solution and reducing rhodium ammonium nitrite. It is preferable that the method uses the rhodium ammonium nitrite, adds the hydrazine to rhodium ammonium nitrite solution at ≥pH8 and ≥50°C solution temperature, adds the hydrazine little-by-little to the solution while keeping the solution temperature at 60-80°C and continues reaction until a reduction potential becomes -700 mV(Ag/AgCl) or lower.
