To provide a ribbon cassette or the like capable of properly hang-supporting respective ribbon reels when exchanging.

The ribbon cassette has a pair of ribbon reels of a feeding side and a winding side having a coming off stopping pieces 313 in an upper end part, a supporting frame 30 hang-supporting the pair of ribbon reels with the respective coming off stopping pieces 313 inserted into respective inserting holes 35, an allowing opening part 38 allowing the respective coming off stopping pieces 313 to come off, and a pair of coming off openings 37 in which blocking opening parts 39 communicating with the allowing opening part 38 and blocking the respective coming off stopping pieces 313 from coming off are formed. The respective coming off stopping pieces 313 have lock plates 31 affixed to the upper surface of a support frame 30 slidably between lock positions where the respective coming off stopping pieces are positioned at the respective blocking opening parts 39 and unlock positions where the respective coming off stopping pieces are positioned at the respective allowing opening parts 38. The respective coming off stopping pieces 313 are formed in a flange shape having cut out parts 314 in parts thereof. The respective inserting openings 35 and the respective allowing opening parts 38 are formed in a complementary shape to the respective coming off stopping pieces 313.
