Title:
RIBBON CASSETTE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3700692
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ribbon cassette which prevents the reversal of a ribbon taking-up spool by an extremely simple mechanism and also prevents the occurrence of slackening in an ink ribbon even after the ribbon cassette is detached from a printer.
SOLUTION: Two locking grooves 36 which have first walls 37 extending in the radial direction of the cylindrical ribbon taking-up spool 16 and second walls 38 inclined with respect to the first walls 37, are formed to the peripheral wall of the locking groove forming part 35 of the ribbon taking-up spool 16. The bent part 30B of a spool spring 30, with which a first extension part 30C is locked in the locking groove 31 of a tape cassette 1, can be locked with one of the locking grooves 36 and is brought into engagement and contact with the first walls 37 of the locking grooves 36 when rotatory force acts on the ribbon taking-up spool 16 in the direction opposite to a ribbon taking-up direction C to prevent the rotation of the rubbon taking-up spool 16.
