A ribbon cassette has an ink ribbon housing part housing an endless ink ribbon 12 in a laminated state and the ink leveling means arranged to the feed passage of the ink ribbon 1 and forming a press part corresponding to a part high in ink density and a release part corresponding to a part low in ink density and locally pressing the fed ink ribbon 12 by a press part and allowing ink to blur from the part high in the ink density to the part low in the ink density. When the ink ribbon 12 is pressed by the ink leveling means, the pressed part corresponds to the part high in the ink density and the ink of the part high in the ink density exudes to the part low in the ink density.
