Abstract:
To enhance the assembling accuracy of a head unit.
A ribbon guide 41 is fixed to a carriage 12 and detachably attached to a printing head 16 equipped with a head nose part 26 and to an enclosure surrounding the printing head 16. The ribbon guide 41 has the first engaging part engaged with the enclosure and the second engaging part engaged with the head nose part 26. The engaging element formed in the first engaging part is engaged with the element to be engaged formed in the enclosure. The engaging element formed in one side of the second engaging part is engaged with the element to be engaged formed in the head nose part 26. The ribbon guide 41 can be correctly positioned to the carriage 12.
