The ribbon microphone unit 10 comprises a ribbon microphone unit body 20 and a connector 30. The ribbon microphone unit body is provided with a pair of magnets for forming a magnetic field, a ribbon-shaped diaphragm arranged in the magnetic field between the magnets, and first output terminals 17a and 17b for outputting electrical signals that are generated when the ribbon-shaped diaphragm receives a sound wave to vibrate in the magnetic field. The connector is provided with sockets 32a and 32b electrically connected to the first output terminals and provided with an opening for holding the first output terminals in a freely detachable manner, and a second output terminal for outputting electrical signals inputted from the sockets.
