To provide a ribbon winding shaft which prevents a used ribbon from winding down and enables a ribbon to be easily separated and discarded.
The ribbon winding shaft 30 includes a shaft body 31 which has: a first large-diameter part 33 that winds a one-side part 13a of the ribbon 13 conforming to the one-side part 13a of the ribbon 13; and a cylindrical second large-diameter part 35 that is connected with the first large-diameter part 33 and winds an another-side part 13b of the ribbon 13 conforming to the another-side part 13b of the ribbon 13. The second large-diameter part 35 includes a plurality of projecting pieces 36 which extend to the opposite side to the first large-diameter part 33 along the axis direction. The ribbon winding shaft 30 includes a securing body 32 which has a small-diameter part 43 that fits in an inner peripheral surface 35b of the second large-diameter part 35 of the shaft body 31 and secures each projecting piece 36.
