NEW MATERIAL: Compounds of formula I [R1 is Thr, Ser, etc.; R2 is Leu, Val, etc.; R3 is Asp, Glu, etc.; R4 is Ala, Ile, etc.; R5 is Asp, D-Glu, etc.; R6 is Phe, formula X-CH2CH(NH-)CO- (X is cyclohexyl, 4-halophenyl, etc.; Y is Phe, Tyr, etc.; Z is OH, amino group, etc.] or their salts.
EXAMPLE: Compound of formula II.
USE: Low toxic mammal ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor useful as antiulcerative agent.
PROCESS: First, after an amino acid residue or a peptide fraction being bonded stepwise according to the amino acid sequence of formula I in the presence of N-hydroxysuccinic imide, etc., the produced protected peptide is deprotected.
