To provide a rice cooker effectively warming the rice without drying the rice during warming.
The rice cooker is provided with a pot 2, a pot heating means 4 for heating the pot 2, a pot temperature sensing means 5 for sensing a temperature of the pot 2, a cover 3 for covering an opening part of the pot 2, a cover heating means 11 for heating the cover 3, a cover temperature sensing means 12 for sensing a temperature of the cover 3 and a steam generating means for introducing steam to the inside of the pot 2. At reheating the rice kept warm by the pot heating means 4, operating the steam generating means and controlling the cover heating means 11 based on an output of the cover temperature sensing means 12 reheat the rice without drying the same, preventing a dew condensation from occurring on the cover 3.
