The rice cooker includes a body case and a lid body positioned above the body case. The body case has: an internal case; an inner pot stored in the internal case; and the work coils for heating the inner pot. A heat insulating material made of a resin foam member and a fire-retardant resin member is positioned between the body case and the internal case where the fire-retardant resin member is positioned on the side of the work coils.
