A rice cooker includes: a rice cooker body; a pot stored in the rice cooker body and holding rice and water; an outer lid for openably/closably covering an upper opening of the pot; a heating means for heating the pot; a display means; an operating means; a storage means; and a loaded menu setting means for setting a loaded menu. The loaded menu setting means is composed of a combination of operation of a plurality of switches provided in the operating means. A set state by the loaded menu setting means is recorded in the storage means, and the rice cooker is operated in the recorded set state. With this structure, the rice cooker can be loaded with a cooking menu peculiar to a region and preferred in the specific region only, or a menu reflecting a kind of rice popular in the region.
