Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which prevents an operation unintended by a user and thereby improves its operability.SOLUTION: A rice cooker comprises: control means 46 for keeping hot which keeps cooked rice objects hot; operating means 6 which instructs a control by the control means 46 for keeping hot; lid-opening/closing detecting means 9 which detects opening/closing of a lid 2; and a control part 41 which, by detecting the opening/closing of the lid 2, enables or disables the operation which is performed to the operating means 6. When the lid 2 opens, the control part 41 disables the operation which is performed to the operation means 6 to prevent it from commanding to the controlling means 46 for keeping hot, and thereby, when closing the lid 2, an operation unintended by a user, such as the stop of keeping hot which is caused by the user's finger touching the operating means 6, can be prevented. Therefore, its operability as a rice cooker is improved.
