PURPOSE: To simultaneously boil rice and heat liquid by providing a rice boiling section provided in a casing to boil rice by means of a heater and a liquid heating section provided in the casing to heat liquid by means of the heater.

CONSTITUTION: By turning on a power source, under the condition that water is put into a liquid heating section 5 and also a required amount of rice and water is put in a rice boiling section 4, the rice boiling section 4 and liquid heating section 5 are heated by a heater 3. Under such a condition, when the rice boiling by the rice boiling section 4 is completed, the water in the liquid heating section 5 is heated up to almost 100°C. After the completion of rice boiling in the rice boiling section 4, the power source is turned off, while the temperature of hot water in the liquid heating section 5 is high and maintained so for a considerable time, so that the rice in the rice boiling section 4 is maintained under the heat insulating condition by the heat of the hot water. Also, since the temperature of the hot water is high even after a meal of the rice in the rice boiling section 4 is finished, a liquid pumping-out button 10, if depressed, gets hot water out of a discharge section 11 and utilize it for tea or the like after the meal.
