Waste ozone gas separated by a gas-liquid separator 18 is supplied to a rice milling machine 28 through a waste ozone gas recovery pipeline 27 and the ozone gas recovered by the ozone gas recovery device 39 of a rice washing apparatus 33 is supplied to the rice milling machine 28 through a waste ozone gas supply pipeline 40. Further, the waste ozone gas generated from the ozone water used in an instrument/packing member washing apparatus 43 is supplied to the rice milling machine 28 through a waste ozone gas supply pipeline 44. Therefore, in the rice milling machine 28, ozone gas is supplied from the waste ozone gas recovery pipeline 27 in a rice milling process removing a crust of unmilled rice as mentioned hereinbelow and bacteria containing heat-resistant bacteria bonded to unmilled rice and bacteria in the rice milling machine 28 can be sterilized.
