To provide a rice seed sterilizing apparatus causing little trouble, having light-weight and exhibiting good draining effect.

The rice seed sterilizing apparatus is composed of a bag main body 1 having an opening 2 at the top and the circumferential and bottom parts made of a net having mesh size finer than the rice seed and a draining pipe 8 having openings at both ends and a number of holes distributed on the circumference in longitudinal direction and having a size sufficiently small to inhibit the intrusion of the rice seed. Rice seeds are charged into the main body through its opening 2 and immersed in a sterilizing solution. A plurality of vertical partition net walls 6 are parallelly arranged in the bag main body 1 and the draining pipe 8 is inserted into and fixed to the hole 7 opened on the partition walls 6. The draining pipe 8 has a number of holes on the upper half part and is free from holes on the lower half part.
