To provide a rice transplanter capable of controlling the number of rotation of an engine to a number of rotation suitable for planting traveling at a high speed and a heavy load, U-turn traveling at a low speed and a light load, or the like by enabling the changing of an output property of an engine through a specific method.
This rice transplanter is constructed so that a travelling speed is changeable through an operation of a traveling speed changing means. The output character of an engine is made to be changeable in cooperation with the speed changing operation of the traveling speed changing means. In this case, it is preferred that the output property of the engine is made changeable between a high output mode and a low output mode, and when the speed reducing ratio of a non-stage transmission operated by the travelling speed changing means is large, the output character of the engine is shifted to the high output mode, and when the speed reducing ratio is small, the output character is shifted to the low output mode.
