Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice warmer capable of warming cooked rice deliciously by inhibiting yellowing of the rice and deterioration of physical properties in tasting the rice.
SOLUTION: The rice warmer comprises an inner pot 1 for storing rice, a lid 8 to be opened/closed, a heating means 5, a temperature detecting means 4, a nitrogen feeding means 22 for removing oxygen included in atmospheric air and feeding nitrogen-abundant gas, a gas carry means 23 for carrying the nitrogen-abundant gas to the inner pot 1, and a control means 6 for heating the rice to a prescribed temperature and controlling the quantity of nitrogen to be fed. By feeding the nitrogen-abundant air into the inner pot 1, unpleasant smell of warming generated inside the inner pot 1 is blown away and yellowing of the rice and deterioration of the physical properties in tasting the rice can be inhibited. In this way, delicious rice, even if warmed, can be served.
