Abstract:
To provide a rice washing device which can prevent such a situation that a rotary valve does not rotate due to chipped pieces of rice and the like entering a space between a case and the rotary valve in a measuring instrument that delivers rice to a rice washing tank from a rice storage tank and resume the supply of rice by removing the chipped pieces of rice and the like when the rotary valve does not rotate.SOLUTION: A rice washing device 1 comprises: a rice storage tank; a rice washing tank; a measuring instrument; a rotary valve with a substantially-C shaped cross section which is provided in the measuring instrument, has an opening and a rice storage chamber, and supplies rice in the rice storage tank to the rice washing tank when being rotated; a case which covers the rotary valve; valve rotation means; and a controller which controls the valve rotation means. The controller can execute the normal/reverse rotation cycle of normally or reversely rotating the rotary valve within a prescribed angle range over the plurality of cycles by controlling the valve rotation means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16
