PURPOSE: To provide easily producible ridge beams for a hipped roof.

CONSTITUTION: A ridge beam 1 for a hipped roof is made up as a unit by joining an adjusting material 15 integral with the upper bed of a ridge beam body 10, and is provided to a main ridge A of a house in hipped roof structure for supporting tops of roof parts 20, 20 on the gable side and roof parts 25, 25 on the eaves side. Slopes 12 corresponding to the pitch of the gable-side roof 20 are formed to the gable-side ends of the ridge beam body 10, and the adjusting material 15 is formed in chevron-shaped section with eaves-side slopes 16, 16 corresponding to the pitches of the eaves-side roofs 25, 25 provided thereto. Gable-side slopes extending from the slopes 12 are formed to the gable-side ends of the adjusting material 15. Therefore, the ridge beams can be produced without requiring large-scale equipment and space and a great deal of labor.
