Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make torque distribution control between right and left wheels properly according to various road conditions while suppressing torque loss, in a right and left drive force adjusting device for a vehicle.

CONSTITUTION: A right and left drive force adjusting device comprises a drive force transmission control mechanism 9, capable of adjusting a drive force of right and left wheels 15 and 16, provided between right and left rotating shafts of a vehicle, a transmission mechanism 30 capable of outputting either of the rotating speeds of right and left rotating shafts after changing speed at a specified gear ratio, a transmission capacity variable control type torque transmission mechanism 12 which transmits drive force between the other rotating shaft side and the output side of the transmission mechanism, and a control means 18 to control the torque transmission mechanism 12. Then a control stop means 18 is controlled so that, if it is so judged that the wheels are in slip condition from the differential condition of a torque transmission mechanism 18 under control, a torque transmission mechanism 12 on the side opposite to the side where a drive force is moved is engaged with the wheel side either of the right and left wheels to which a drive force is desired to increase.
