PURPOSE: To smoothly open the lid and the like of a console box through slide operation of the lid and the like and obtain closing lock only through push down operation of it by forming the device having a double hinged mechanism for right and left opening.

CONSTITUTION: Locking oscillating supports 3 having shaft parts 3b are held on the opposite sides of a fitting main body 1 in the standing condition with return springs 4, and pivotally supported with shaft pins 3d. Locking parts 2a are projectingly provided on an opening/closing member 2 such as a lid, and hinges are constituted by fitting the shaft parts 3b in detatchable fitting grooves 2b. By laterally moving the closed member 2 against the fitting main body 1, the locking oscillating supports 3 are rotationally moved against the elastic force of the return springs 4, the shaft part 3b on one side is detatched from the detachable fitting groove 2b, and the member 2 is openingly moved, hinged the other side. By closingly pushing down of the member 2, the shaft part 3b is rotationally moved with the fitting slope end face 2d of the locking part 2a, and the shaft part 3b is fitted and locked in the groove 2b by the restoring force of the return spring 4.
