Title:
RIM FOR TUBELESS TIRE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62275802
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To keep off any slippage between a rim and a tire as well as to make sure of fixation of both parts, by setting the surface of a bead seat part of up to at least a minimum diametral point of this bead seat part toward a rim flange from a hump position of the bead seat part of the rim, to the specified range of roughness. CONSTITUTION:A hump 3 fixes a tire bead part to a rim so as to prevent the tire from coming off a bead seat part 2 of the rim in traveling. In this case, a surface of the bead seat part 2 of up to at least a minimum diametral point of the bead seat part 2 toward a rim flange 1 from a position of the hump 3, that is, the surface of the bead seat part 2 of width in length of a distance L0 ranging from an apex P of the hump 3 to the minimum diametral point M should be set to a range of S25-S70 in roughness. At this time, if the roughness is less than S25, a sufficient friction factor is not substantially secured between the rim and a tore base part, so that there is produced rim slippage in any way. In contrast with this, if it exceeds S70, smoothness at the time of mounting becomes lacked, making the tire fitting difficult or impossible.
