Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce the subject derivative having an endoserine receptor antagonistic effect, a cathepsin B inhibitory effect and a bone absorption inhibitory effect and useful as a medicine by allowing a ring closure reaction of a compound having a specified structure to take place.
CONSTITUTION: The objective derivative is synthesized by a ring closure reaction of a compound of formula I (R is a hydrocarbon or a heterocycle; Ring A is a substituent-containing pyridine ring or thiazole ring). In addition, the hydrocarbon R in the formula is preferably an aliphatic linear hydrocarbon such as a lower alkyl. The ring closure reaction is carried out recommendably, e.g. by contact with an oxidizing agent such as bromine or sulfuric chloride in a prescribed solvent.
