PURPOSE: To provide a titled machine which forms efficiently a ring gear by supporting a ring blank material by means of an external tooth profile forming roll, guide rolls which control the shape and stoppers, bringing an internal tooth profile forming roll into contact with the blank material and rolling internal and external tooth profiles thereon.
CONSTITUTION: A ring blank material D having the inside and outside diameters equal to the inside and outside diameters of a finish ring (d1=d2, D1=D2) is held by means of an external tooth profile forming roll 6 as well s position controllable guide rolls 7A, 7B and stoppers 8A, 8B, 8C and an internal tooth profile forming roll 5 is brought into press contact with the blank material to roll an internally and externally toothed ring D'. It is necessary to make the tooth profiles of the rolls 5, 6 slightly thin to make the same correspondent with the extended length of pitch owing to forcing in the case of d1<d2, D1< D2. A ring gear A having a prescribed shape is formed efficiently with one time of rolling.
