Title:
RING FOR MOUNTING ALUMINUM WHEEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3025765
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the work of attaching and removing a tire without causing damage even in the case of an aluminum wheel, using a tire mounting device to which the wheel is mounted by opening of the claws of a mounting tool, by mounting rings in the hub hole of the wheel, and engaging the claws of the mounting tool with the inner peripheral surfaces of the rings.
SOLUTION: To attach or remove a tire with a wheel attached to a tire mounting device, rings 1, 2 provided in order to prevent damaging the wheel are mounted in a hub hole 11 formed in the hub 10 of an aluminum wheel 9. The tire mounting tool of the tire mounting device has a plurality of claws opened and closed by a ring mechanism, the claws being fitted to the inner peripheries of the rings 1, 2. The claws are made to abut to the inner peripheral surfaces 12, 13 and opened apart so that each ring 1, 2 is enlarged and deformed to make intimate contact with the hub hole 11. Under this condition, the tire is attached while the aluminum wheel 9 is being rotated via the mounting tool.
