Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator improving the reliability of the whole of a device, and eliminating the need of additional components even if the change of a structure energized by an actuator is required.SOLUTION: An diaphragm actuator 10 includes: a housing 26; a diaphragm 56; a stem 22; and a plate assembling body. The plate assembling body includes a recessed plate 54, and a projecting plate 52, and both plates respectively have inner and outer radial direction parts. The outer radial direction part compression-engages with the diaphragm to hold. The inner radial direction part is compressed on a stem between a shoulder portion 72 of the stem and a nut 48 screwed in the stem. The recessed plate is forcibly engaged, and provides direct fluid-resistance sealing with the shoulder portion of the stem, without requiring an O-ring or any other additional sealing structure elements. The recessed and projecting plates have equal structures so as to enable the actuator to easily switch a structure energized to open and a structure energized to close.
