PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring-shaped wall positioning method using a liner plate capable of three dimensionally and precisely positioning a ring-shaped wall at an uppermost stage in an initial borehole and easily positioning even at a narrow site.SOLUTION: A positioning method according to this invention is used to position a ring-shaped wall 11 at an uppermost stage, which is assembled using liner plates 12, 13, in an initial borehole 20. The positioning method comprises following processes: holding the ring-shaped wall 11 in suspended state from horizontal beam materials 21a, 21b, which are placed to traverse a portion immediately above the ring-shaped wall 11 by being supported by a foundation around the ring-shaped wall 11; positioning the ring-shaped wall 11 in vertical direction by adjusting a height position of the ring-shaped wall 11 at each suspension position 11a using a longitudinal length adjustment member 22; positioning the ring-shaped wall 11 in horizontal direction by moving the suspended ring-shaped wall 11 back and forth and around using a linear accouplement 24 equipped with a lateral length adjustment member 25.
