Title:
RINGED BELT OF TIRE TREADDTIRE ASSEMBLED BODY AND TIRE TREAD THAT CAN FREELY BE DEMOUNTED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS54115806
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
Resilient sealing strips 26 seal the spaces between pairs of adjacent track shoes 14 of a removable track for a tire. Each sealing strip 26 is integrally molded on an annular elastomeric belt 13 carrying the shoes 14 and has legs 28, 29 provided with surfaces 30, 31 for engagement with respective track shoes 14. Alternatively, each sealing strip may be formed separately from the belt and vulcanized thereon, in which case resilient means may be incorporated into the sealing strip to bias apart the legs to further assure sealing engagement, or the legs may be joined to form a pneumatic chamber biasing the legs. The composition of the strips may differ from that of the outer elastomer layer of the belt, and reinforcing fibres may be incorporated in the strips.
