Title:
RINGING CHOKE CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2988094
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obviate the power source and remove power loss, in a overcurrent protection circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A series circuit of a saturable reactor 9 and a resistor 10 is provided in parallel for the base winding 14 of a transformer a11. The junction between this saturable reactor 9 and the resistor 10 is made the input to the stoppage control of a converter stoppage circuit 6. At an overcurrent, the impedance of the saturable reactor 9 becomes zero, and voltage is generated across the resistor 10, whereby the converter stoppage circuit 6 is started. Therefore, a switching transistor 2 is turned off, and the protection from overcurrent becomes possible. Hereby, the power source of a circuit for detection of overcurrent becomes needless, and at abnormality, a consumed current does not flow, so there is no power loss, either.
