This rivet connecting structure is formed of a rivet member 10 formed of a rivet body 11 made of conductive metal and a resin-made head part 13 integrally formed thereon, the head part 13 having an elastic peripheral edge 14; and a seal washer 20 having a through-hole 21 for inserting the leg part 12 of the rivet member 10 and an elastic peripheral edge 23. A surface heating element 1 and a lead wire 2 are nipped between the head part 13 of the rivet member 10 and the seal washer 20, and the rivet member 10 is caulked to pressure-connect and fix the surface heating element 1 to the lead wire 2. Thus, it is not necessary for a worker to peel the insulating film for the surface heating element 11 and the lead wire 2 each time, so that the load of the worker can be reduced, and a mass production can be performed. Therefore, the manufacturing cost can be reduced to provide a product inexpensively. Since the rivet member 11 and the resin seal washer 20 are pressureconnected, the conducting part between the surface heating element l and the lead wire 2 can be sealed.
