To provide a rivet which can be prevented from loosening.
There is provided a rivet 10 for joining plate materials together. In the rivet 10, its head 12 is formed of a shape protruding from an edge of a plate material 30 on a side in contact with the head 12 to a side where the other plate material 20 is arranged. The part which protrudes from the edge of the plate material 30 in the head 12 of the rivet 10 is provided with a supporting portion 13 in contact with a surface of the other plate material 20. According to the structure like this, when a force getting away from the other plate material 20 acts on the plate material 30 in contact with the head 12 of the rivet 10, the supporting portion 13 of the rivet 10 abuts against the other plate material 20 to prevent the rivet 10 from tilting and therefore the rivet 10 can be prevented from loosening.
