To provide a road deformation preventing structure and a construction method of the road deformation preventing structure allowing a road on the liquefied ground to secure a function of allowing people and vehicles to pass even if the ground is liquefied by an earthquake.
The deformation preventing structure S of the road 1 is constructed by providing a road section 3 smaller in density than the surrounding ground 2, at the width direction center part below the road 1, providing road shoulder sections 5 not less in density than the ground 2, on both sides of the road section 3 below the road 1, and embedding geogrids 6 in the road section 3 so as to penetrate the inside of the road shoulder sections 5. The road 1 is constructed to cover the whole width of the road section 3 and part of the road shoulder sections 5.
