Abstract:
PURPOSE: To contrive to make sure of the management of incoming and outgoing vehicles by providing a shutdown bar, which opens and closes upon detecting a vehicle, both in front and rear ends of a parking area provided in parallel to the tracffic lane and arranging the bars so that they may close when a vehicle enters and opens when parking fee is paid.
CONSTITUTION: A vehicle is to enter and leave a parking area PA provided along a sidewalk 3 by forward driving, while a vehicle detector 5 is provided and, upon detecting a parked vehicle, shutdown machines 6F, 6R provided in the front and rear ends of the parking area PA operate and a shutdown bar 63 closes. When a vehicle leaves the parking area PA, the shutdown bar 63 opens and the vehicle is sent out by forward driving upon casting a fee matching the parking time into a parking fee adjustment machine. The vehicle is made available to enter and leave the parking area by forward driving so that it can be safely parked without distrubing the traffic. Thus a prompt parking and an assured management can be met.
