To provide a road sign which provides a good visual recognition property of a display part even in a backlit state, and facilitates manufacturing.

The road sign has a back plate 4 constituted by laminating a first reflective sheet 3 on a front face 2 of the first metal plate 1. In the back plate 4, many holes 5 formed through the substantially entire face thereof by a machining. Further, the display part A displaying letters, figures, codes, etc. is punched out by laser processing, and a front plate 9 constituted by laminating a second reflective sheet 8 on a front face 7 of the second metal plate 6. The back plate 4 is laid on a rear face 10 of the front plate 9. A pair of mounting frames 11 which are parallel to each other are fixed to the rear face 10 of the front plate 9, and the back plate 4 is mounted on the front plate 9 by being guided and slid by the pair of mounting frames 11.
