To improve the heat resistance and the flexibility of a road snow melting pipe by forming the pipe by a composition in which specific amounts of polypropylene, filler, and thermoplastic elastomer are blended respectively.
When a road snow melting pipe to be embedded in a road is manufactured, a composition in which 100 weight parts of polypropylene, 10 to 100 weight parts of filler, and 10 to 60 weight parts of thermoplastic elastomer are blended is used. Consequently, the heat resistance and load resistant flexibility under a high temperature are increased so that a load bending temperature is 120°C or more, the proper flexibility is provided, and modulus of bending elasticity is about 7,000 to 9,000kgf/cm2. At this time, homopolypropylene and block polypropylene are used as polypropylene, and inorganic substances such as talc, mica, calcium carbonate, etc., and fibers such as glass fiber, synthetic resin fiber, etc., are used as filler. Moreover, thermoplastic elastomer of olefin and styrene systems is used as thermoplastic elastomer.
