To provide a road surface abnormality detection device that allows for easy application to a variety of vehicles and compares road surface abnormalities obtained for different vehicles in the same way.SOLUTION: A road surface abnormality detection device according to an embodiment includes: a wheel speed detection device that detects wheel speed values of a vehicle; a trend value generation unit that generates a trend value representing a trend of changes in wheel speed during traveling on a road surface based on a detected wheel speed value; and a determination unit that determines that an abnormality has occurred on the road surface when the difference between the wheel speed value and the trend value exceeds a predetermined threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
