Title:
ROAD SURFACE SENSOR AND ROAD SURFACE MONITORING CONTROL METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005069699
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a road surface sensor for automatically controlling the melting of snow of roads by measuring the quantity of heat required for melting snow and the quantity of heat required for preventing freezing in a unit of time to an amount of snowfall and an amount of freezing, performing noncontact measurement on the state of distributions of aridity, wetting, snow coverage, snow accumulation, and temperature of road surfaces, and combining the measured quantities of heat with the state of the road surfaces and capable of melting snow and preventing freezing without having to waste energy by sequentially measuring the state of roads.

In a sensor part, a rotating table for rotational and reciprocating motion is provided with a reference light irradiating and reflected light receiving device, a spatial reflected light receiver, a noncontact road temperature measuring device, a noncontact snow accumulation measuring device; a road surface imaging device, a simulated road surface for measuring the quantities of heat for snow melting and freezing, a snowfall intensity measuring device, and a moisture sensor.
