Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make use of combustion ash together with cement so as to effectively utilize clay soil such as silt and clay; to prevent elution of heavy metals; and to obtain strength adequate for a base course material.SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a base course material, 50-400 mass% of combustion ash is added to clay soil such as silt and clay, and 35-80 mass% of cement is further added to the solid content of a mixture of the clay soil and the combustion ash and solidified. Preferably, the clay soil is mainly composed of silt with a particle diameter of 0.004-0.06 mm. Preferably, in the combustion ash, the ratio of SiOis 40% or less and the ratio of CaO is 15% or more.
