Title:
ROASTER FOR COFFEE BEAN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003102453
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To control adhesion of stain to an exhaust fan for exhausting smoke and hot air evolved during roasting and cooling to the outside of a main body.

This roaster for coffee beans has a roasting part for roasting raw coffee beans, an exhaust vent equipped with a deodorization catalyst, a cooling part for cooling roasted coffee beans, a discharging shutter for discharging the coffee beans from the roasting part to the cooling part, a solenoid for opening and closing the discharging shutter, a cooling fan for sending air to the cooling part and the exhaust fan for sucking and discharging smoke, etc., evolved during roasting. Since the solenoid is energized during cooling the coffee beans, the discharging shutter is made in an open state and the roasting part is made to communicate with the cooling part, a part of smoke evolved from the coffee beans is sent to the roasting part, passed through the deodorization catalyst and then discharged to the outside of the main body, the amount of smoke passing through the exhaust fan is reduced to control adhesion of stain to the exhaust fan.
